About Us

A venture capital and professional advisory firm with deep roots in Central and Eastern Europe.

## What is in a name? The Trial of Penenden Heath took place approximately ten years after 1066. It concerned a land dispute between Lanfranc, Archbishop of Canterbury, and Odo de Bayeux, the Conqueror's half-brother. The trial lasted three days and resulted in a partial recovery of properties for the church. ## Our Firm Penenden is a venture capital and professional advisory firm. We invest directly into growth companies across Central and Eastern Europe, and we provide the legal, accountancy, tax, and corporate finance advisory services that our portfolio companies and external clients require. Our partners have been focused on Central and Eastern Europe for over twenty years, having built their practices and investment track record since the region opened following the fall of the Iron Curtain. We apply international investment standards and Anglo-American professional frameworks to the civil law environments of the region. ## Our Model We believe the most valuable advice comes from people who have skin in the game. Our integrated model — bringing investment and advisory under the same roof — means our professionals are not just advisors on transactions; they are investors in the outcomes. We work with founders building businesses, with institutional investors seeking regional expertise, with multinationals entering the CEE market, and with financial institutions requiring local execution. Where we lack a physical presence, we maintain established relationships with quality local firms to ensure comprehensive service across the region.
